How to Install a Theme in PrestaShop

Method 1: Upload Theme ZIP (Recommended)

1. Log in to your PrestaShop Back Office.
2. Go to Appearance → Theme & Logo.
3. Click Add a Theme.
4. Select Import from Computer.
5. Upload the theme .zip file.
6. Click Save.
7. After installation, click Use this Theme to activate it. (help-center.prestashop.com)

Method 2: Install via FTP

1. Extract the theme ZIP on your computer.
2. Upload the theme folder to:

   /themes/
   

3. In Back Office, go to Appearance → Theme & Logo.
4. Click Add a Theme and choose Import from FTP.

After Installation

• Clear the cache:
  • Advanced Parameters → Performance
  • Click Clear Cache
• Check your store on desktop and mobile.
• If the theme includes modules, install or enable the required modules as instructed by the theme developer. (help-center.prestashop.com)

Common Errors

• “Invalid theme archive” → Upload the main theme ZIP, not the entire downloaded package.
• White screen after activation → Clear cache and verify PHP version compatibility.
• Missing layout or modules → Install all theme-required modules.
