PrestaShop Shipping Charges Settings

To configure shipping charges in PrestaShop, you can follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your PrestaShop back office.
  2. Navigate to the “Shipping” section. The exact location may vary depending on your PrestaShop version, but it is usually found under the “Shipping” or “Delivery” menu.
  3. In the shipping section, you will see a list of available carriers or shipping methods. By default, PrestaShop provides a few predefined carriers such as “Carrier” and “Free Shipping.” You can edit these or create new carriers according to your requirements.
  4. To create a new carrier, click on the “Add new carrier” button or a similar option, depending on your PrestaShop version.
  5. Fill in the necessary details for the carrier, such as the name, transit time, and logo. You can also set the maximum package width, height, and depth if needed.
  6. Scroll down to the “Shipping locations and costs” section. Here, you can define the zones or countries to which the carrier will provide shipping services. You can select individual countries or entire zones, depending on your needs.
  7. Set the shipping costs for each zone or country. There are several options available for defining the shipping charges:
    • “Free Shipping”: You can enable free shipping for specific zones or countries.
    • “Shipping by weight”: You can set shipping costs based on the weight of the products in the cart. Define weight ranges and corresponding charges for each range.
    • “Shipping by price”: You can set shipping costs based on the total value of the products in the cart. Define price ranges and corresponding charges for each range.
    • “Shipping by total weight”: You can set shipping costs based on the total weight of the cart. Define weight ranges and corresponding charges for each range.
    • “Shipping by total price”: You can set shipping costs based on the total value of the cart. Define price ranges and corresponding charges for each range.
    • “Shipping by quantity”: You can set shipping costs based on the number of products in the cart. Define quantity ranges and corresponding charges for each range.
  8. Once you have defined the shipping costs for each zone or country, save the carrier.
  9. Repeat the process if you need to create additional carriers or modify existing ones.
  10. Test the shipping charges by placing test orders with different products and addresses to ensure they are calculated correctly.

Remember to review your shipping settings periodically to ensure they align with your business requirements and any changes in your shipping strategy.

Please note that the steps provided above are a general guideline, and the interface and options may vary slightly depending on your PrestaShop version and installed modules
