Batteries store chemical energy and convert it into electrical energy to power everything from remote controls and smartphones to electric vehicles. They are broadly classified into primary (non-rechargeable) and secondary (rechargeable) batteries.

1. Primary (Non-Rechargeable) Batteries

These batteries are designed for single-use and cannot be recharged economically.
