Alright 👍 EU carrier setup in PrestaShop, clean and correct way (works for all EU countries).

🇪🇺 Step-by-Step: EU Carrier Setup (PrestaShop)

1️⃣ Create EU Zone

Back Office → International → Locations → Zones

• Create / check Europe
• Status: Enabled

👉 Make sure all EU countries are assigned to this zone:
International → Locations → Countries

• France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, etc. → Zone = Europe

2️⃣ Add New Carrier

Shipping → Carriers → Add new carrier

Basic info

• Name: EU Standard Shipping
• Transit time: Delivery in 3–7 business days
• Speed grade: Optional
• Logo: Optional

Click Next

3️⃣ Select Zones

• ✔ Europe
• ❌ Others (unless needed)

Click Next

4️⃣ Shipping Cost (Recommended Setup)

✅ By Weight (best for EU couriers)

Example table:

✔ Apply shipping cost
✔ Include handling cost (optional)

Click Next

5️⃣ Size & Weight Limits

Set realistic limits:

• Max weight: 5 or 10 kg
• Dimensions: optional

Click Next

6️⃣ Customer Groups

Select:

• ✔ Visitor
• ✔ Guest
• ✔ Customer

Click Next

7️⃣ Final Options

• ✔ Enable carrier
• ✔ Display delivery price
• ❌ Free shipping (unless intentional)

Finish ✔

8️⃣ Assign Carrier to Products (Critical)

Catalog → Products → Shipping tab

• ✔ Select EU Standard Shipping
• Set product weight
• Save

9️⃣ EU VAT & Shipping Tax (Important 🇪🇺)

Carrier tax rule

Shipping → Carriers → Edit carrier

• Tax rule: VAT Europe (or your custom VAT rule)

VAT setup

International → Taxes

• Enable VAT per EU country
• Use OSS / IOSS if applicable

10️⃣ Common EU Issues & Fixes

❌ Carrier not visible?

• Product weight = 0 ❌ → set weight
• Customer country not in Europe zone
• Weight range missing
• Carrier not assigned to product

❌ Wrong VAT?

• Check tax rule on carrier
• Check customer country VAT

11️⃣ Optional EU Improvements

• Separate carriers:
  • EU Express (2–3 days)
  • EU Economy (5–10 days)
• Free shipping over €X:
  Shipping → Preferences
