PrestaShop Webservice API

In PrestaShop, the web service API (Application Programming Interface) is a set of tools that allows external applications to access and manipulate data from a PrestaShop store. This includes the ability to manage products, customers, orders, and other store data, using standard web protocols such as HTTP and XML or JSON.

The web service API in PrestaShop allows developers to create custom integrations, such as connecting the store to an ERP system or a mobile app or automating certain tasks, such as updating product information or processing orders.

The web service API in PrestaShop can be accessed through the back-office of the store, by going to the “Advanced Parameters” menu, and then clicking on the “Webservice” option. The user can then generate an API key, which will be used to authenticate external applications when they access the API.

Once the API key is generated, the user can access the API documentation and start building integrations with the API. The API documentation provides detailed information on how to use the API, including the available endpoints, the data that can be accessed and modified, and the format of the data.

In summary, PrestaShop Web Service API is a set of tools that allows external applications to access and manipulate data from a PrestaShop store using standard web protocols. It allows for custom integrations, and automation and can be accessed through the back-office by generating an API key, and by accessing the API documentation for detailed information on how to use the API.
