Search Engine Optimization And The Secret To Making The Search Engines Love You

Search Engine Optimization And The Secret To Making The Search Engines Love You While there’s been so many changes to Search Engine Optimization over the past few years, there’s one thing that’s remained constant and will remain constant even if it’s the end of the world: search engines love content.

After Google unleashed its Panda and Penguin updates, many website owners reeled from lost rankings and lost income. But surprisingly, there were also people who actually saw their ranks move up. What was their secret? They did nothing more than update their website everyday prior to Panda and Penguin.

So, if there’s one thing that you can do right now to make your website more profitable, it is this: update your website everyday. The search engine spiders will love it. Of course, if you own 100 websites, this is really easier said than done because search engines hate duplicate content, right?

However, the truth is that “duplicate content” as far as the search engines are concerned is the same content that’s been published several times on the same website. If you publish content that’s been published somewhere else, you’re simply syndicating content or curating content, and there in lies the big difference.

If you’ve lost rankings on the search engines, if there’s one thing you can do to revive your website, it is to update your content EVERYDAY. Publish three posts per day. Again, this does not have to be content that you write yourself or some writer wrote for you. You can simply take content from somewhere else and curate it.

Content curation requires nothing more than adding a few paragraphs to an already-published article before adding it to your website. But aside from written content, you can also curate pictures and videos. Just make sure you add a few paragraphs before publishing. This process of generating content is really useful if you have at least ten websites that you need to generate content for.

You’ll be surprised, but the biggest and most visited websites out there do not publish their own content. They simply curate it from different sources and link to the source of the article, video or picture. I tried this one website of mine and it worked!

To make your job easier, there are content curation plugins out there that you can use on your WordPress websites. If you have trust issues with plugins, just go to Google news and search for newly published content that’s relevant to your website. If there are authority website that you know of, simply go there and publish their content.

But of course, if you really want to recover your keywords rankings, you should also take the time to minimize the effects of negative SEO by using Google’s links disavow tool. Just log in to your Google webmasters account to know how you can do it.

In all, in order to get one step ahead of the search engines, you should remember that part of their algorithm is relevant content. So, whatever you do, only do generate content and links that are relevant to your own website.
