To add Google reCAPTCHA to your Magento website, you need to perform the following steps:
- Register for a reCAPTCHA account by going to the reCAPTCHA website (https://www.google.com/recaptcha) and clicking the “Get reCAPTCHA” button.
- Follow the instructions to set up a new site, and obtain the reCAPTCHA site key and secret key.
- Log in to your Magento back office.
- Go to the “Stores” menu and select “Configuration.”
- Go to the “Customers” section, and then click on the “Customer Configuration” option.
- Scroll down to the “Google reCAPTCHA” section.
- Enable the “Google reCAPTCHA” option.
- Enter the reCAPTCHA site key and secret key that you obtained in step 2.
- Choose the pages where you want to display reCAPTCHA, such as the login, contact, and registration pages.
- Save your changes.
Your Magento website should now have reCAPTCHA enabled, helping to protect against spam and automated bots.
Note: If your Magento installation doesn’t have the “Google reCAPTCHA” option, you can install a third-party extension to add this feature. You can search for “Magento reCAPTCHA extension” in Google to find a suitable extension for your website.
