PrestaShop Carrier Charges Settings

To configure carrier charges in PrestaShop, you can follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your PrestaShop back office.
  2. Navigate to the “Shipping” section. The exact location may vary depending on your PrestaShop version, but it is usually found under the “Shipping” or “Delivery” menu.
  3. In the shipping section, you will see a list of available carriers or shipping methods. Find the carrier for which you want to configure charges and click on it to edit.
  4. In the carrier settings, you will find various options to configure charges. The options may vary depending on your PrestaShop version and any installed modules. Here are some common options:
    • “Handling Fee”: You can set a handling fee, which is an additional charge applied to each order regardless of the order’s weight or value.
    • “Free Shipping”: You can enable or disable free shipping for this carrier. If enabled, customers will not be charged for shipping when they select this carrier.
    • “Shipping by weight”: You can define shipping costs based on the weight of the products in the cart. Specify weight ranges and the corresponding charges for each range.
    • “Shipping by price”: You can set shipping costs based on the total value of the products in the cart. Define price ranges and the corresponding charges for each range.
    • “Shipping by total weight”: You can configure shipping costs based on the total weight of the cart. Specify weight ranges and the corresponding charges for each range.
    • “Shipping by total price”: You can set shipping costs based on the total value of the cart. Define price ranges and the corresponding charges for each range.
    • “Shipping by quantity”: You can configure shipping costs based on the number of products in the cart. Specify quantity ranges and the corresponding charges for each range.
  5. Adjust the charges according to your requirements by entering the appropriate values for each option.
  6. Save the changes to update the carrier charges.
  7. Repeat the process for other carriers if you need to configure charges for them as well.

Remember to test the carrier charges by placing test orders with different products and addresses to ensure they are calculated correctly.

Please note that the steps provided above are a general guideline, and the interface and options may vary slightly depending on your PrestaShop version and installed modules.
